For Use in Wine Cellars and Wine Cabinets

The Habitat Monitor^Ž can be placed in a wine cellar or wine cabinet to accurately monitor the operation of an existing cooling system. The Monitor will accurately sense and display the climate conditions in the cellar and track temperature and humidity extremes. Four separate set points are easily user programmable to actuate an internal alarm. This feature provides continual, unattended vigilance over the cellar climate to guard against conditions which would be deleterious to the proper storage and aging of valuable wines.

Many wine cellar cooling units do not maintain the 50 to 70% relative humidity which they should. Most of these systems are like air conditioners, which condense humidity from the air when they cool. Some systems will collect the condensation and recycle it back into the room when humidity levels decrease. Unfortunately, in many cases, there is not enough humidity in the air to recycle. In even the best built cellars and wine closets, humidity escapes through natural convection and whenever a door is opened. Our smaller humidifiers are ideal for maintaining humidity inside cooler and cabinet style wine cellars. For larger wine rooms and cellars we offer large capacity humidifiers.

For Use in Humidors

The Habitat Monitor^Ž can be placed in a cigar humidor to accurately monitor the operation of an existing humidification device. The Monitor will accurately sense and display the climate conditions in the humidor and track temperature and humidity extremes. Four separate set points are easily user programmable to actuate an internal alarm. This feature provides continual, unattended vigilance over the humidor climate to guard against conditions which would be deleterious to the proper storage of valuable cigars.

If the existing humidification in a humidor is not adequate, functioning poorly or requiring frequent maintenance, the Monitor can be connected to one of our miniature evaporative humidifiers.

The humidifiers will use distilled water (available at most drug stores), eliminating the need for expensive "special care solutions". Our smaller humidifiers will maintain the humidity in humidors holding up to 1000 cigars.
