Cooling Systems

The Habitat Monitor ®, connected to one of our coolers can be used to reach and maintain a specific temperature. The Habitat Monitor will turn on the cooler when the temperature is too hot, and turn off the cooler when it is cool enough. The programmable control temperature is easily set by the user and maintained ±1° from the set point.

Air Conditioners

The Habitat Monitor ®, in combination with our solid state switch will control a cooling appliance (air conditioner, fan, refrigerator) with +/- one degree from the user programmable set point. For example, if you are using a window air conditioner, plug it into the solid state switch, set the AC temperature control to its maximum (coldest) position, and the Monitor will turn the AC on and off at whatever temperature you select. If you set the Monitor to 67°F, it will turn the air conditioner on at 68°F and off at 66°F.

Note: this device works only when used with an appliance which can be plugged and unplugged without any loss of information. (Some digital appliances lose their settings when unplugged, so this switch is not appropriate for use with them as it turns power on and off to the attached appliance.) Please check your appliance.

Habitat Monitor ® Cooling Systems can cool alone, or be combined with additional external devices: humidifiers, dehumidifiers, heaters, and alarm systems. View our COOLERS here.
