Maintaining Proper Humidity Levels and Temperatures for Computers

Maintaining Proper Relative Humidity in Moisture-Sensitive Environments

Computers are moisture and heat sensitive. Their requirements therefore include control over both relative humidity (RH) and temperature. The humidity range can vary from 35-65% RH, but should ideally be much smaller than that of most naturally occuring environments. Higher humidity levels can cause rust and other damage to the computer’s electronics. Extreme variations in temperature can cause damage as well.
