Musical Instruments

Fine musical instruments require proper storage conditions.

How can I protect my valuable musical instruments? Use the Habitat Monitor.

Musical instruments such as acoustic guitars and pianos can be damaged if they are stored in environments that are too dry. Proper humidity levels (40-50% RH) are required to prevent structural damage, cosmetic damage or loss of tune.

The Habitat Monitor can be used to maintain proper temperature and humidity conditions areas where valuable musical instruments are stored. Our selection of precision humidification systems will control humidity in virtually any size environment from small display cabinets to large studios. The Habitat Monitor will turn on the humidifier if the humidity is too low, and turn off the humidifier when the humidity level is fine.

Store wooden musical instruments in your home where they are protected from extremes of temperature and humidity. Avoid direct sunlight or bright light which will fade finishes.
